The Special Education Program at Tantasqua Regional Junior High School meets the requirements of the Massachusetts Special Education Law - Chapter 766 and the federal law (IDEA). Individual programs in all academic areas are available for students with special needs. However, we encourage placing students in regular education classrooms that are staffed to provide academic support as appropriate. The individual educational plan is formulated by a TEAM composed of classroom teachers, guidance personnel, special education teachers, parents, medical personnel, and any other people concerned with the education of the child.
