Library Services

1. LIBRARY HOURS: 7:20 to 1:50 daily and until 3:15 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

2. BORROWING POLICY: Students may borrow up to 2 books for 3 weeks.

There are no fines charged for overdue books. You will be charged for lost or damaged materials.  All materials must be returned two weeks before the end of the school year. You will not receive your final grades until all books are returned or paid for.

3. LIBRARY PASSES: There are three kinds of library passes you may obtain.

     a. STUDY PASSES: Students who wish to come to the library during a study hall must obtain a pass from the library teacher. You may get a pass before or during your advisory.

     b. PASSES FROM TEACHERS: Your teacher may give you a pass to come to the library during class time to do research or to find a book and then return to class.

     c. AFTER-SCHOOL PASSES:  Students who wish to use the library after-school must obtain an after-school pass from the library teacher.  You may obtain an after-school pass anytime during the school day but before the dismissal bell.  The # of after-school passes is limited.

4. STUDENT BEHAVIOR: Students are expected to be respectful of each other, the teachers, and library materials.  Each student must accept the responsibility for treating the materials with care, but more importantly for treating other library users with consideration.

Students who come here during study hall or after school must be here to use library materials.

5. AFTER SCHOOL: The library is open until 3:15 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You must get a pass from the librarian during the day you plan to stay. The library is open for research, homework, and recreational reading. Students who cause a disturbance will be sent to OD.  Students with an after school pass are expected to stay until 3:15.
