Crime Scene Investigation Summer Camps
spacer

A summer camp for high school students interested in Crime Scene Investigation (CSI).

First held at Tantasqua in July 2005, the forensics camp was a huge success.  Students loved the hands-on approach as they worked with live insects, lifted fingerprints, analyzed hair fibers, and solved the “murder” of the assistant principal!

It is unmistakable that popular new forensic science shows like Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) and Forensic Files are resonating with students, especially those at the middle and high school level.  Science teachers are capitalizing on this interest and using it to immerse students in science learning.  It's helping students discover how science is related to the real world and how science can be used to solve problems.  Students have indicated a strong desire to learn about forensic science and this academic camp will help to quench that thirst for knowledge.

The CSI camps are usually filled very quickly because students are so engaged with learning forensics.  In fact, the advanced and super advanced camps were created to satisfy student demand.
