Class Visits Teachers are encouraged to bring classes to the Wilson Library Media Center. Please sign up at least one day in advance. You may sign up in person, via telephone (5106), or by submitting the class visit form that is located below. For students to gain full benefit from a class visit, the teacher should discuss the assignment with the library media specialist in advance. Both the teacher and the library media specialist should assist students as they work. Research shows that assistance from adults increases student learning. Assignments should incorporate the use of information skills and should utilize the Big6 process. Research papers should follow MLA format. Substitute teachers should not bring students to the Wilson Media Center
unless special arrangements are made with the library media specialist. The Wilson Media Center
