Delivery of Health Care Services by the School
Nurse
- Assesses the health care needs of the students, providing
appropriate nursing services and intervention.
- Conducts state mandated screenings: Vision, Hearing,
Scoliosis, Growth & Development, Physical Exams
- Administration & Monitoring of medications
- Skilled Nursing Care & Case Management for students
with special health care needs
- Monitoring of state mandated immunizations
- Prevention/control of communicable disease
- Provides first aid and facilitates emergency preparedness
- Provides safe administration of prescribed treatment
