Buddy Reading Program

In January,  5th grade students are paired with 1rst grade students.  The 5th grade students listen to the 1rst grade students  2 to 3 times per week  in the primary classrooms.  Sessions last about 20 minutes.  Quite often, friendships develop from these interactions and younger students are linked to good role models.  I the Spring  an ice cream party is held with the buddies and Mrs. Hippert on the school grounds.
